Olwen Fouéré’s one-woman show, riverrun, is a bold attempt to grapple with the challenge of staging James Joyce’s notoriously difficult final novel, Finnegans Wake. It seeks to convey the epic hubbub of that crazily digressive work in just 60 minutes, by concentrating on only one part of it: the character Anna Livia Plurabelle.
